Charlie Wright is a graduate of Tufts University, the Museum of Fine Arts School and Bentley University. An award-winning multi-media artist, his broad and varied talents include illustration, painting, graphic design, digital media, murals, portraiture, video, photography, commercial art, sculpture, athletic apparel, marketing collateral and signage. His fine artwork and digital designs are widely circulated throughout New England, the United States, and internationally.
His humor, empathy, and creativity underscore both his artistic and personal life, infusing his work
with warmth, whimsy and compassion that resonates with audiences of all ages. His love for Cape
Cod is expressed in whimsical characters such as the Cape Cow, Cape Canine, and Cape Coddess.
His Santa-themed pieces have become particularly beloved, reflecting his playful approach to holiday
artistry.
Public recognition for his work includes being named a National Finalist for an ACE Award (similar
to an Emmy for local community television) and public art installations, along with awards for his
photography, parade floats and holiday costumes. He has also provided extensive pro bono
customized artistry for youth, high school, and college athletic teams, road race and charitable
organizations.
His artwork has graced the walls and homes of professional athletes and notable figures including
Celtic great Larry Bird, middleweight champion Marvin Hagler, gold-medal Olympian Aly Raisman,
and wheelchair marathoners Dick and Rick Hoyt. His highly customized art and designs have been
produced for a wide range of business, social, athletic, and charitable organizations, including the
New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Major League Baseball, U.S. Open Tennis, Ben Jerry’s,
Coca-Cola, Calvin Klein, Budweiser.
A former Needham, Massachusetts resident, where he served as an active leader in civic and social
organizations, Charles moved permanently to Falmouth’s Fisherman’s Cove He loves natural settings, particularly the seashore,and finds endless inspiration in the coastal environment. He is a proud member of the Falmouth Art Center and is delighted to be an active part of a community where his family has deep and continuous roots spanning many decades.
